SGTF GENERAL RULES

By order of the Morals and Ethics Committee, the below regulations will be strictly enforced. Even Robert Crow can follow these......most of the time anyway

Salt Grass Trail Association requires a membership card completed and mailed with a check for $50. This is mandatory.

SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS
If you don’t own a trailer, you can rent a motor home from vendors listed on this site. We ask that you fill each trailer or motor home with four or more people so the camp movers have as few vehicles as possible to move. Also, it’s much more fun that way!

CAMP
Please don’t bring cars, extra trailers or vehicles to the ride. If you must, then you are responsible for moving your vehicle before the ride each morning.

Please bring two sets of keys for your trailers/vehicles—one for you and one for the camp movers.

If you must leave the ride for a day or two, please take all your vehicles, horses, and belongings with you. No one else will care for them unless you make prior arrangements.

Dogs are not permitted in camp or on the ride by the Salt Grass Trail Association.

Help keep the Desperado camp clean. Pick up liter when you see it.

ON THE TRAIL
We ride behind our wagon, but visiting other wagons is permissible on the first few days of the trail.

No t-shirts or ball caps—even those with a Western theme—are permitted while riding. No corporate logos may be displayed or logos of other rides.

We must obey all of the Salt Grass Trail Association rules which are sent to us before each ride. A few of these rules are no riding double, no littering, cover your beer and cokes with a koozie, obey the scouts, etc.

HORSES
Each rider is responsible for transporting their horse to and from the ride, shots, Coggins papers, a vet certificate, and non-skid horseshoes. If renting a horse, make certain the owner provides these.
